FOR WHEN ALL IS NOT FAIR IN LOVE
Dating coach Alina Rose wants to fix your love life.
Love… they say you can’t live without it, yet for most of us, it can be terribly elusive. The disappointing feeling of which can be exacerbated by the expectation of instancy produced by hookup culture and dating apps. Alina Rose has made it her life’s mission to help.
Rose began coaching in 2004, supporting clients with a range of concerns. Her positive approach to relationship coaching centers the client, empowering you to approach your love life from a place of dignity and power. A certified life coach, she has extensive experience in hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Psych-K. Rose is also a long-time student of Tantra.
We spoke with the dating guru about her practice.
This is a unique field. When did you realise you knew a thing or two about dating?
When my own dating failures turned into triumphs! And my advice worked for others to turn souring situations into a blossoming romance. Honestly, dating can be so hard and disheartening! But if we date smart and more intuitively, it’s a ball!
What kind of coaching services do you offer?
I offer relationship coaching, life coaching, career/executive coaching, as well as hypnotherapy and subconscious belief shifting work such as NLP, EFT and PSYCH-K. I also do body work, which is about harmonising the yin and yang energies within the body.
How does one know they’re bad at dating? Like what’s the litmus test?
I think your own joy levels – if it drains you, something needs to shift. If you’re always left disappointed – ditto.
What would you say to someone who might be intimidated to start your services?
Let’s just have a coffee and chat about your situations so you can see how easy a solution can be. This work is so much fun, it’s not heavy at all. We are all about discovering your mojo, your true desires and your very best self.
What does a one-on-one session with you typically entail?
I ask some questions to ascertain the real blocks to your happiness – and clarify what you actually desire most. Then, we do some belief change work to release negative thought patterns and build up your self belief. Finally, you walk away with an action plan.
Why am I single? Just kidding. What would you say is the most common problem facing this generation dating today?
Technology. Variety. Convenience. We swipe. We hook up. Ghost. Rinse and repeat. And I think we often do that because we’re scared of getting hurt. If we slow things down, go deeper and journey with one person for longer, we may ultimately have a better time – and enrich the intimacy of these connections. Sustainable dating, I call it!
Now, we have something we like to call the CH-V questionnaire; basically just a preset of questions we ask all our collaborators. What’s the last thing that made you laugh? Cry?
Laugh? An episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and my little poodle’s antics.
Cry? When a man I fell for went back to New York. C’est la vie!
Favourite curse word?
If you could have any other name, what would it be?
Alina Rose is my other name. *winks*
