CH-V PRESENTS ENDLESS BLUE
A QUEER SALON FOR AND BY POETS OF COLOUR, SPONSORED BY SOCIETY.
It was a hot day, even for New York City in July. Duane Park, a chic cabaret tucked away on the Bowery, had to continually set their thermostat lower and lower as the crowd shuffled in: mostly artist types, with bold hair and outfits you’re not supposed to sweat in. The lights dim and the Endless Blue begins.
Three poets, introduced by E.R. Pulgar, the evening’s mastermind and producer, take the stage. Francisco Márquez, Ugochi Egonu and Alexis Aceves Garcia read from the heart—naturally, the crowd eats it up. Vulnerability is dish best shared. After a brief intermission, Pulgar invites the poets back to the stage for a live tarot reading.
Endless Blue was a local draw for many months by the time CH-VOID came into the picture, who, through their nonprofit arm Society, seeks to empower and amplify the voices of artists. Teaming with the event’s longstanding partner, Bowery Poetry Club, CH-V is proud to support an event which fosters community through the power of expression.
If you’re in New York, join us for the next Endless Blue, on Monday, August 29.
